Knowing that we were going on a vacation later in the summer without the kids, we tried to do a few activities to prevent them feeling so left out. ;) (Lewis had enjoyed a week at Stillwood Camp, but true to form, did not take any pictures of himself...)

Splashdown Park in Tsawwassen... maybe not the most thrilling
waterpark for Lewis and his friend, but a good starting place for Nora. |
 |
| Nora had a fun time, although Scott and I were wishing we were a big younger... |

| ...or that Nora was a bit older. Next time we'll bring a buddy! |
One evening was enjoyed with Rob and Kellie, having a delightful summer BBQ. The kids enjoyed their cousins, while we actually had time to converse. :)
Lewis was helpful in putting a birdhouse back up in the greenhouse that the wind had blown down earlier in the year.
In the midst of that activity, there was a flurry of birds in the forest... multiple crows cawing and smaller birds responding. While trying to figure out what was going on, I saw an owl gracefully swoop into another tree. As a robin dive-bombed toward the owl's location, I realized that the birds saw him as a threat. I was just amazed to see him up during the day...

| This was as close as I could get with my "zoom"... |
 |
| At least now there is a new home to keep smaller birds safe... |
Another day, Nora and Daddy went for a special afternoon outing... just down the street!

| It's fun to lounge anywhere~ who needs to travel?! |
