July started out quite busy for Scott. A second team of 15 adults came up to our church from North Carolina for the week. They helped lead a sports camp in nearby Annieville Park, focusing on soccer, softball, basketball and karate. (I only met the group briefly on the last day.) Thomas and Lewis were able to participate, and had a great time. (And Nora and I enjoyed some quiet mornings...)

The team and all the children.
Because we've managed to avoid team sports all these years, it was fun to see Lewis playing softball. He looks like he knows what he's doing.
Thomas helped teach Taekwondo during the camp. This particular day, he left his uniform at home, so has improvised with his belt. Scott had put together a demonstration team to close the week with, which was very entertaining. A bad day to forget your uniform...

Scott knows how to get the kids excited and involved in the demonstration. I don't see him doing this much any more, so I always enjoy it, even if he's still doing variations of the same demo for the past 21 years!

Choosing a volunteer for "Kicks & Punches" is always popular...

Jeremy does well to stand still.

Thomas successfully breaks his board.

Nora just enjoys being around so many people
