Canada Day, Part 2 ~ July 1st

Scott headed out with the kids to Fort Langley, as I didn't feel like embracing crowds that early in the morning. :) The museum and grounds were open to the public for free, and I recall the cake being quite tasty. :

I'm pretty sure Nora will never look like this,
 even when she's grown. That's a relief!
Checking out an old-time store at the museum.
How much can you learn when you can't see well indoors?
The view from the fort walls.
Indian dancers join in the celebration.
Thomas helps out with Nora. (Lewis hid from the camera this day.)
 Remembering the early days...
 Watching the procession.
Asking why the men have skirts?
The kids enjoyed their outing, but in my mind were back too soon! :)
Don't know if this comment below has really changed (Since the last election..)but points to just one of the aspects of Canada we have to be thankful for!  We are blessed to live in this beautiful country. Next year, I'll try to get up earlier to celebrate that. :)
