The end of June brings many things, but always there is the yearly piano recital. Thomas and Lewis did very well with their pieces, and perhaps one day I'll be able to post a video. I post these less-than-stellar photos not only to acknowledge what the boys are up do but also to tell you how horrendous it is to sit through a 2 hour recital with a 2 year old! We tried to sit inconspicuously near the back rows of the church, outer side. It started out okay until the toys were being chucked under the pew, graciously handed back by surrounding families. Then the insistent, repetitive LOUD speaking of Nora between applause of "My turn, I want to play now!!" (Maybe I haven't mentioned, but Nora is speaking so much better lately...) Then it was the flinging backwards while I held her in the pew because I wouldn't let her run up front. We sat out in the foyer for the last hour, but I was pretty grim-faced by the time it was over. Let's just say we didn't stick around afterwards to visit!

Lewis came through with a home-made gift for Scott, the best kind and which no one else makes now.
Scott does well to play games with the boys, although he goes a bit nuts by the end as they tend to be quite silly.
And in his Dad's footsteps, James washed his vehicle when the sun finally came out. We love you, Scott!
