The parties continued into Monday due to our long weekend. Nora and I went to a local park to celebrate her friend's 2nd birthday. We had a lovely lunch, with time in the playground as well. The rain began to pour just before the cake arrived, at which point we'd already left for nap time. The rain just didn't care that it was a long weekend!

Late afternoon, we packed up for Maple Ridge to celebrate our friend Tom's special birthday. His wife Kim did an amazing job with the BBQ... loved the satay chicken skewers. The covered picnic area was invaluable, as it continued to rain while we ate. And then there were the cakes!

The rain eventually eased up, in time for the guys to play football in the muck. Nora chose the playground, of course, Thomas and Lewis never too far away to assist her.
Here's hoping summer shows up soon, and also for some down-time to recover from all the parties! :)
