Saturday morning we woke up to rain AGAIN! This was most disappointing, as we were scheduled to attend our 2nd annual picnic BBQ with FCC-BC... Families with Children from China, BC chapter. Last year we had a great experience meeting other families with little ones adopted from China, Nora being one of the more recent ones. We packed up to go anyhow, hoping the rain would go away, and it did ease up thankfully.
| With a break in the clouds, a group picture was taken immediately. |
| Parents quickly jumped in... |
This little girl was adopted a year after Nora from the same orphanage! |
| This was a welcome addition! |
| Timbits for everyone. |
| Hot chocolate, too! |
| The BBQ was tasty, compliments of M&M meats. |
We weren't too impressed when someone turned on the
water park, but at least Nora had her boots on. |
| Happy to be with Daddy. |
| Lewis looks like a Sasquatch, but he just gave Nora an under-duck. |
| Thomas and Lewis were good sports to come along. |
| I'm wearing my red Canada Day t-shirt for the occasion, as was Nora. |
| Our "Canadian Girl". |
| It's all for Nora's sake, of course! |
| The boys seemed to enjoy the playground, too. |
| ...and left right before the rain came back! |
| We had a lovely time together... |
