Kicking around town ~ Aug. 23rd

It seemed to make sense that we actually explore Lincoln City itself, as we were leaving the next morning. First stop, the outlet mall to do some more school shopping. After the guys had endured all they could,  it was time for lunch, and we were happy to discover this tasty pit-stop along the highway. Only burgers, fries and drinks were offered, with how many patties making the difference in your order. Everything was delicious, and Scott bemoaned the fact that he'd only had a single burger...

Thomas makes his mark...
Nora's shark hasn't left her side since yesterday...
The boys have time for a quick game of pool...
Nearby were several glass art studios which I had hoped to peruse a little more. However, "Nora + Glass = Bad Idea"... If you had $75 to spare (ha!), you could even make your own glass float in a studio with assistance. I would love to do that someday. So our outing wasn't as long as we planned, but not all was lost...

I dropped off the kids with Scott, and returned to the outlet mall to shop for myself. I am perfecting the art of trying on 40+ items of clothing in an hour! (And not all at once...) The family patiently waited for me to return, and then we were off to celebrate our "Anniversary" dinner as we'd be too busy to the next day. The fare at Kyllo's Seafood Restaurant was all so wonderful. Can you tell that eating out is one of the best parts of a vacation for us?! :)

Playing more verbal sparring games...
Nora's smiling again after a big "Talk" in the bathroom...
 Scott and his replica...
We've much to be thankful for over 21 years together.
Our last Oregon sunset for now. :)
