Amazingly, we woke up to another sunny day. (Maybe that's normal here, but we're just used to our set of averages back home...) The beach beckoned, so of course we had to go explore.

| Our side of the duplex was the stair side. |

Very few people around, and not much for tidal pool life like we're familiar
with in Parksville. The sand was lovely, though. |
 |
| Being quite breezy out, it's easy to look like an expert kite-flyer. |
 |
| Eventually, we were chilled by the wind and headed back in for our next outing. |

Heading south for our daystrip destination of Newport, we stopped at Cape Foulweather
just below Depoe Bay. Here is a view to the south. I didn't read anything into it when I
found out later that Scott purchased a pair of earrings here for my anniversary gift! |

Waiting for lunch outside the original Mo's Restaurant in Newport... It was a very
delicious meal, with Scott trying the world-famous clam chowder, and Nora liked
receiving a plastic shark on her straw. (When she's happy, we're all happy!) |
We reached our destination of the
Oregon Coast Aquarium, but as tends to happen with journeying in such a random way, we happened to miss most of the planned shows for the day. We did get in on the otter feeding, and part of the sea lions also. Nora was quite fascinated, so it was great to give her and the boys such a close-up experience. I hope you enjoy some of Scott's photos...
