We chose to beat the rush for Mother's Day and have it a week early! It's much easier to get brunch reservations that way... In truth, it was because I would be working 4 nights straight the following weekend. It was a nice lunch out with all the boys present, who still don't eat their fill at a buffet, preferring to smother their waffles with as many sugar-laden options as available. Thomas entertained himself with the camera, so we have some interesting shots...

| The beauties of Spring |
I must confess that I did not have any deep thoughts this year about having my second Mother's Day with Nora, unlike last year. Perhaps it's because I am more used to this concept now and am getting closer to that feeling of not being able to remember life without her in it. And with her firecracker personality, it's pretty hard not to forget that I'm her Mom, the one that needs to help direct her energies into productive, positive ways. :) (If I forget this for even 15 minutes, I'll find a huge mess not too far away from her last known location...) It is still a good time to reflect on how God has been gracious to us, in giving these five children of His to be ours for a time. I hope that your Mother's Day, likely
next week will be a special day for your family too.
