Julie & Anna's Shower ~ June 26th

The long-awaited day arrived for everyone to celebrate with Julie in welcoming her daughter home. Her close friends, Julia and Hazel, opened their home and were very gracious hostesses. After Julie gave a brief synopsis of her time in China meeting Anna for the first time, it was time to open all the  lovely gifts.

Nora was fairly preoccupied with watching gifts being opened up or checking out Anna. We had some near misses with some punch glasses on the coffee table, but thankfully no disasters. :)

Here's a very cool quilt, which I always enjoy... love the ladybugs!

It's always fun to see Betty, Ann's MIL. She now has 8 grandchildren under age 6, so is a busy grandma!

Abby is a great help with all the little people around... she's so naturally nurturing. Cute cousins!

Abby and another older girl initiated "Baby Races", with each girl cheering on their contestant. Very fun to watch.

The kids enjoyed the break outside, and so did we... less chance of breaking something pretty inside...

Anna is finally getting drowsy after doing so well through her shower. She's mouthing Ann's arm... very sweet. She is a sweetie! :)
