FCC Picnic ~ July 2nd

Saturday turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day.. perfect for attending our first-ever gathering of FCC ... Families with Children from China, the Vancouver Chapter of FCC-BC. Their annual Canada Day picnic was held at Ryerson Park in Queensborough, New Wesminster, which was a lovely spot.

Thomas and Lewis were quick to get wet in the splash park. Nora soon followed...
Scott was having fun using his camera... I enjoyed visiting the few families we've met in Langley previously, but unfotunately didn't get any photos of them. M&M Meats did the BBQ for a small fee, and the Tim Horton's Community Cruiser handed out bags of timbits. With all these special details, all that was left was to have fun!

The kids gathered for a traditional group picture, and to sing "Oh Canada!" together.

The younger kids were feeling a bit scared with all the cameras and parents in front of them... I was looking for a way to shrink myself!

Once I snuck out of the group picture, Nora was searching for me and eventually got upset.

Overall, it was a great time and we look forward to the next big event, the Chinese New Year Celebration in 2012.
