Great-Grandma is in town!

Sunday was a special day, as my Grandmother was visiting from Saskatchewan. We were thrilled to have her join our family get-together to celebrate the January birthdays. After seeing many photos of Nora, it was Great-Grandma's joy to meet her. Nora was a little sleepy and so we couldn't get any smiles out of her.

Nora is the 32nd great-grandchild for my Grandmother, and her first one from China! (I am the oldest of 23 grandchildren, as my mother is the oldest of Grandma's seven children.)  I'm so glad Nora could meet our amazing Matriarch! :)

Our traditional group shot. It was too challenging to get everyone to focus for Scott, but it's still so great to have had everyone present. With a healthy, happy extended family, we have so much to be thankful for.

Here are some candids of Nora's cousins... Here's Kailey.

And sister, Kieren.

Abby is excited to see "Gi-Gi" again.

Abby's brother, Aiden, is enjoying Nora's new kitchen.

Younger sister, Isabelle, likes to lie in Rosie's bed when she comes over. (I try to vacuum it ahead of time!)

Nora has fun with Uncle Steve.

Opening gifts again, Nora lends a hand as there's more of that tissue paper around...

Thanks Ann and family... I love the birdhouses!

As Grandma has always been an avid quilter, I enjoy sharing my progress with her re: Nora's Asian-inspired snowball quilt. For such a kalaidoscope of colours, I think it will turn out beautifully.

Grandma (my Mom) looks colourful as she helps clean up.

Scott reads Aiden a story. With taking so many pictures now, he's rarely in the photos.

Great-Grandma with her two oldest great-grandchildren, James and Charles. I can see why people at school get these two mixed up sometimes.

And then with the younger set of boys, who are still somewhat cuddly... Thomas and Lewis.

Grandma has always enjoyed dogs, so I figured she would be okay to pose with the two Shelties.

Rosie's happy to have so many favourite people around, as well as to be on the couch!

And last but not least... Grandpa and Lewis.
