Enjoying the end of 2011

Life was pretty low key for us after seeing family on Christmas and Boxing Day. I worked 5 shifts in that week, counting New Year's Day... that one ended up turning into an overtime shift as well, so I did 16 hours in a row. (Knowing that I don't have any shifts in the immediate future was motivation enough to get through that.) Scott was home from work that week, and spent a lot of time with the kids. Here's Nora getting into mischief...

Uncle Richard and Auntie Linda came for dinner one evening with Misha. Can dogs have cousins?

Nora is not afraid of dogs... yet we couldn't get all three of them to "smile" at the same time!

Nora's new baking set has been a popular gift. She's "cracking" eggs all the time now, which tend to be underfoot...

Watching the Christmas train is so much fun for Nora. She only derails it occasionally...

New Year's Day the family was back to Nana and Papa's for a delicious meal. My parents were over as well... I was sorry to have missed the party!

Nora's already figured out Papa's gift of the digital photo frame... "sliding" the pictures over by hand.

Or there's the remote control option...

What a monkey, but a smart one!

Happy New Year from Nora!
Wishing you all a special year ahead...
