Celebrating "The Year of the Rabbit"

Chinese New Year was officially on Thursday, but we waited until the weekend to celebrate our first one with Nora... not that we know what we're doing, but we want to try to make the effort. Our friends in Langley invited us out for dinner together. Here's Nora on her first ride in the new, bigger carseat. She can finally see where she's going, and I think she's going to enjoy that.

Nora and Darlene, both looking lovely.

Darlene and I could be sisters, right?!

Gavin giggles as Nora uses the chopsticks as drumsticks.

Thomas likes the sticky rice as it's not too hard to pick up with chopsticks. Nora amazes us all by eating every item we give her.

We are started to feel warm in the restaurant, which explains Nora's rosy cheeks.

James joined us after his shift at McDonald's, right across the parking lot. He was happy to receive chocolate money in his red envelopes, as he is fond of any form of sugar.

This is Nora's first encounter with chocolate. We are happy to report that she enjoyed it thoroughly!

A group photo... was a wonderful time together.

Nora seemed to enjoy her evening immensely as well.

"Auntie" Darlene shows Nora the fish tank.

Back at home, we attempted to take some photos of Nora in her pretty outfit without much success. (She was happy to be free...)

Daddy and his girl.

Did I mention Nora was his girl?! Time for bed now after a great evening. (I love her bloomers.)
