We left Phoenix as soon as we got our act together so we could enjoy our drive back to Las Vegas, without the stresses we experienced on the way here. :)
| Too short a visit, but so nice. Thanks again! |
The scenery en route was interesting, just so different from back home.
| One of the few places to take a pit stop. |
| Glad to have had another year to travel with the boys. |
| A quick stop to see the bridge above the Hoover Dam. |
| Another view of the lowered reservoir. |
After settling back into Embassy Suites, we explored The Venetian in hopes of a meal but in the end went to the nearby outlet mall to enjoy dinner at Claimjumpers. :)
| Hopefully we will see the real Venice one day. |
The next day we planned to take in the appropriate family sights along the Strip before flying home the next morning. Nora was enjoying the music being piped in all along the sidewalks and was dancing around. She comes even more alive with all the stimulation.
| Enjoying the fountains at the Bellagio. |
| Beautiful floral displays and sculptures inside. |

| In case we never make it to Paris... |
| Prior to attending a magic show in the afternoon. |
| One day this man will be thankful he got his picture with Nora before she became famous. ;) |
| Had to visit the Coca-Cola store... |
| ...and the M&M store. |
| The boys went on the roller coaster at New York, New York. |
The Hershey Store was popular, too. :) Which was better, the statue of liberty made of Jelly Bellies or chocolate? You know my answer...
| In case we never get to New York... :) |
Soon after it got dark we hurried back to our hotel as the streets became much more inappropriate very quickly. I hope no one from my family goes to Vegas until they are happily married! Yikes.
| And Nora falls asleep in minuters, with her new friend. |
Off we flew the next morning, making it home just in time to attend my manager's retirement party, which was a lovely event. She loved the quilt I made for her that was covered on the back by signatures and messages from her co-workers. Both sides were equally beautiful. I will always appreciate her for many reasons, but especially because she took a chance on hiring me after I returned to nursing five years ago, in an area I had no experience in. Dorrie is dearly missed but thoroughly enjoying her retirement. :)
